The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bielys throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Jeff Brennan has been cut.
Bielys changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brennan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bielys wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brennan, who protects the arm well.
Brennan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bielys closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brennan did well to prevent Bielys getting side control.
Bielys works his foot free and advances to mount.

Bielys is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Brennan has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Brennan!
Bielys bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brennan's guard.

Bielys sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brennan's guard.
Brennan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bielys is trying a forearm choke� I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Brennan tries to keep at a distance but Bielys has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bielys pulls Brennan into guard.
Brennan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bielys has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Brennan has managed to get both his arms back between Bielys's legs - danger averted.
Brennan wants to control from the top but Bielys keeps moving.
Bielys has an active guard here but Brennan has managed to pass into half guard.
