PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Al Pacino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pheling Medick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pacino comes into the arena with Oyo Como Va blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pacino rushes Medick and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pacino wants to take the fight to the mat but Medick manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Medick rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pacino moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Pacino is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Medick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pacino doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pacino manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pacino is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Pacino is taking a breather. Medick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Al Pacino overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Pacino's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Pacino seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Medick for as long as he can get away with.

Pacino is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Medick can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
