Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Raleigh Massey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ian Peters!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Massey tries to avoid it but Peters manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Massey to the ground. Massey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Peters shoots in for a takedown but Massey shows good takedown defense.
A low kick from Peters is predictable there

and Massey counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Massey.

Massey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Peters lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Massey at a distance.
Massey takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Massey throws a head kick but Peters moves out of range.
Ian Peters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Massey. No joy for Peters on that attempt.
Massey throws a big counter combination but Peters scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Raleigh Massey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ian Peters.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peters closes the distance and pushes Massey back into the cage.

Peters shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Massey is trying to defend but Peters finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

You can see the frustration on Peters's face� He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Massey drops down looking for an ankle pick but Peters pulls his leg out and moves away.

Peters goes for a double leg but Massey avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Massey continues to drive forward.

Peters is breathing heavily.

Peters is fighting off a takedown attempt but Massey is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Peters to the mat. Peters regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Peters can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Massey controls the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Massey scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Peters?
Peters is in a horrible position here. Massey smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Massey prevents Peters from getting the reversal.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Massey cracks Peters with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Massey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Massey is on top in guard.

Massey throws an elbow that misses. Peters uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Massey's guard. Nice move by Peters!

Massey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Peters's guard.

Peters is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Massey is aware though and is defending well.
Massey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Peters can do to turn this around?
Massey is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Massey is working Peters over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Peters has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Massey is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Peters.

Massey decides to stand up, so the ref orders Peters to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Massey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Peters circles away quickly and effectively.
