Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mcfee darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Callen is controlling Mcfee's trapped leg to prevent Mcfee from advancing to side control.
Mcfee wants to lay and pray for a moment but Callen keeps working.
Callen tries to roll over but Mcfee keeps him under control.
Callen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Callen tries to get out of the position.
Mcfee is looking to stall here but Callen recovers full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Callen tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Mcfee throws an elbow that misses. Callen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mcfee's guard. Nice move by Callen!

We've been hearing good reports from Callen's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Mcfee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Callen is controlling him.
Callen with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Callen stands up over Mcfee, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Callen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Callen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mcfee has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Callen off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Callen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mcfee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Callen is in Mcfee's guard.

Mcfee wants to control from the top but Callen keeps moving.
Mcfee's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Mcfee postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Callen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mcfee, into his guard.

Mcfee preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Callen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Callen with a flurry of punches that miss.

Callen tries to advance to mount but Mcfee instead regains half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Callen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcfee pushes Callen off looking to stand but Callen dives back in and keeps control.
Callen is nestled in close to Mcfee, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Mcfee is not content to let Callen control the position.

Callen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Callen dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Mcfee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Callen's waist but Callen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mcfee off to one side.
Callen leaves Mcfee with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bryan Callen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Callen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mcfee.
Callen fails with the takedown.
Callen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mcfee is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Callen tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Callen cracks Mcfee with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcfee doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Callen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


Mcfee is rocked!
Bryan Callen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sean Mcfee.

Callen connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Mcfee to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Callen!
