Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deair Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Du Toit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Deair Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roy Du Toit!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shaw has Du Toit up against the cage in a clinch.
Du Toit looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Shaw is struggling to control the position.

Du Toit pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Du Toit tries to close the distance and clinch but Shaw swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Du Toit slaps away a takedown attempt from Shaw, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Shaw fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shaw fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Du Toit looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Shaw shoots in but Du Toit avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shaw has Du Toit up against the cage in a clinch.
Du Toit fails to pull guard.

Du Toit tries to score a body lock takedown but Shaw shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Shaw is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Du Toit defends well.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Du Toit throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shaw.

Shaw shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Deair Shaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Du Toit changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shaw tries to avoid it but Du Toit manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shaw to the ground. Shaw escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Du Toit keeps the fight on the outside.

Shaw shoots in and drives through. Du Toit sprawls well.

Du Toit dives in and grabs Shaw's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shaw pushes down on Du Toit's head and hops out.

Du Toit is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Shaw to keep the fight standing.

Du Toit tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shaw smiles and moves away.
Shaw jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Shaw goes for a double leg but Du Toit avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Du Toit continues to drive forward.
Shaw fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Du Toit tries to counter with a clinch but Shaw shakes him off and moves away.
Shaw closes the distance and clinches up with Du Toit, looking for a takedown. Shaw pushes Du Toit against the cage but Du Toit circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

No joy there for Du Toit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shaw is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Shaw drives through and clinches with Du Toit against the cage.

Du Toit breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Du Toit wants to control from the top but Shaw keeps moving.
Shaw is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close second round but I would say that Deair Shaw will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Shaw shoots for a double leg takedown but Du Toit sprawls well. He's pushed Shaw's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Du Toit pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shaw shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Du Toit but Du Toit pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Du Toit misses with a series of wild punches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Du Toit is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Shaw throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Du Toit stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Du Toit wants it to stay on the feet.

Shaw tries to keep at a distance but Du Toit has taken the fight into the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee is keeping an eye on Du Toit - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Roy Du Toit.
I think Shaw has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
