Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ahmed Hussein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wladimir Gilkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wladimir Gilkov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Hussein, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gilkov tries to close the distance and clinch but Hussein swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hussein had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gilkov is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hussein Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gilkov's back instead.

Gilkov is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Hussein off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Hussein has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gilkov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
