Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Harrison Flynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Um (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by Um. Beautiful body shot.
Flynn ducks right into an uppercut from Um.
Flynn has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Flynn there as he acknowledges the shot.

Um gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Flynn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Um forces Flynn back against the cage and clinches.

Um is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Flynn keeps control of Um as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Um attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Flynn swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Flynn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A nice right hand lands inside from Um.
Flynn keeps control of Um as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Um is trying to push Flynn away but Flynn has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Um controlling the action here for a moment.

Flynn pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Um pivots, looking for a leg kick but Flynn is out of range and Um settles back down.

Flynn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Um, pushing him back against the cage.

Um bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Um throws a sloppy head kick and Flynn moves out of range easily.
As Um tries to get set, Flynn tries to push him back and clinch up but Um manages to avoid the attempt.
Um moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Um is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Um closes the distance and pushes Flynn back into the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Um tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Flynn.
Um tries to circle away but Flynn has him pinned against the cage.

Um tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Flynn's elbow.

Um is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Flynn dives into side control.
Um has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Um is looking to get back to his feet here but Flynn is keeping cool and he's managed to take Um's back.
Flynn has Um flattened out and is raining down punches.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Um trying to control the position but Flynn manages to sink in the hooks.

Flynn lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Flynn.

Flynn has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Um's body.
Flynn is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Flynn gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Flynn gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Flynn apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Andre Um is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Flynn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Flynn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Harrison Flynn.
