Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Doug Mccormick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasco Quintas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasco Quintas has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Doug Mccormick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vasco Quintas!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quintas looking to score a takedown here. Mccormick is defending well but Quintas drives through and ends up in Mccormick's guard.
Mccormick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Quintas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mccormick swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mccormick really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Quintas trying to control the position from guard on top but Mccormick is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Quintas sitting in guard here, content to control.
Quintas trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mccormick is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Quintas is aware though and is defending well.
Quintas trying to stand up but can't free himself from Mccormick's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quintas stays in close to Mccormick's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Mccormick looks for a takedown but Quintas sprawls well.
Quintas drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mccormick defends it well.
Quintas misses with a two punch combination.

Quintas shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Quintas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Quintas's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Quintas trying to control from half guard but Mccormick is working away.
Mccormick pushes Quintas off looking to stand but Quintas dives back in and keeps control.
Quintas works his foot free and advances to mount.
Quintas looking to control but Mccormick is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mccormick sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Quintas is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Mccormick manages to get to full guard.
Mccormick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quintas on the ground.
Quintas is looking to work some ground and pound but Mccormick has wrist control.
Quintas trying to control but Mccormick is working from the bottom.
Quintas stands and throws Mccormick's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Quintas takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Mccormick to pass into mount.
Mccormick is trying to stand but he's just given Quintas his back.
Mccormick tries to escape but Quintas has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Quintas looking to break Mccormick's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Mccormick remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Quintas will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Quintas controlling the position well here. Mccormick rolled but Quintas kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Mccormick tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Quintas has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Mccormick is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
