Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryuu Wakahisa!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyde checks a leg kick.
Wakahisa throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Wakahisa darts in and clinches Hyde up against the cage.

Hyde is trying to trip Wakahisa. He has hold of a leg but Wakahisa is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hyde persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wakahisa can do anything to dispel that myth.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wakahisa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Hyde.
