Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rupert Ritzik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zeus Leonidas!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonidas scores with a nice strike.


It looks like Rupert Ritzik has been cut.
Ritzik showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Leonidas.

Leonidas lands a left and a right that sends Ritzik crashing to the canvas! Leonidas dives into mount looking to finish!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Leonidas goes for an armbar but Ritzik turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ritzik.
Leonidas has his hands on Ritzik's head, controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Leonidas is trying to control the position but Ritzik postures up.

Leonidas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Leonidas wants to control the position but Ritzik says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Leonidas is looking to improve his position.
Leonidas slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ritzik postures up.
Ritzik wants to stand but Leonidas is controlling his posture from full guard.
Leonidas controls Ritzik momentarily but Ritzik frees himself.
Leonidas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Leonidas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Ritzik.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Leonidas.
Ritzik is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.


Rupert Ritzik's cut is getting worse.
Ritzik looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Leonidas slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Rupert Ritzik's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Leonidas. Ritzik does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ritzik throwing a counter right hand but Leonidas manages to avoid it.
Ritzik looks up at the clock. Bad move! Leonidas lands a right hand from hell, dropping Ritzik. Leonidas pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zeus Leonidas!
Zeus Leonidas decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
