Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Emmitt Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack McKuchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mack McKuchi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Emmitt Landry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mack McKuchi!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from McKuchi misses.
McKuchi looks to land a combination but Landry avoids it well.
McKuchi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McKuchi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.


It looks like Emmitt Landry has been cut.
McKuchi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Landry was well out of range. Poor timing from McKuchi.
McKuchi misses with a body shot.
McKuchi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McKuchi looks winded!
McKuchi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Landry closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
McKuchi tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Landry seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down McKuchi for as long as he can get away with.
BOOM! Landry connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Landry will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McKuchi looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McKuchi is in a horrible position here. Landry smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Landry breaks from McKuchi's wrist control and lands an elbow.
The referee warns McKuchi that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Landry takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

A big right from McKuchi misses.
As McKuchi looks to move away, Landry throws a big counter combo bu McKuchi just gets out of the way.

Landry really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

and Landry holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Landry shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. McKuchi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
McKuchi is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Landry dives into side control.

McKuchi takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Landry is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McKuchi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on McKuchi's face as Landry controls the position.

Landry connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused McKuchi some visible discomfort.
The referee asks Landry politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Landry prefers to stall for the moment though.

McKuchi tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Landry manages to move to mount!
Landry is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McKuchi can do to turn this around?

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

No joy there for McKuchi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Landry is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Landry jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McKuchi walks away with a smile on his face. Landry gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

McKuchi is looking to stand up but Landry isn't so interested in that idea.

Landry gets to his feet. McKuchi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Landry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Landry continues to stall.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Landry, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
