The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ank throws a sloppy head kick

and Washington counters by clinching up.
Ank is trying to pull guard but Washington has him pressed against the cage.

Washington has Ank pressed against the cage, preventing Ank from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Washington is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ank is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
