The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Peterson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Collins walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Collins can't keep his opponent in guard - Peterson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Peterson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Collins defends it well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
