Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stuart Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andor OakRivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andor OakRivers!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
OakRivers shoots in for a takedown but Head shows good takedown defense.
OakRivers moves to clinch but Head breaks away

and Head counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

OakRivers makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
OakRivers is looking to clinch but Head is avoiding it.

OakRivers clinches up against the cage.
Head jumps guard but OakRivers stands there with Head around his waist. Head gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
OakRivers just leaning against Head, taking a breather.
OakRivers is trying to break the clinch but Head has him pressed against the cage.
OakRivers goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Head escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
OakRivers misses with a takedown attempt

and Head holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Head breaks the clinch.
Head steps to the side to avoid the strikes from OakRivers.

OakRivers shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Head is trying to defend but OakRivers finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Head moves into full guard.
Head looking to hit a scissor sweep but OakRivers is one step ahead there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Head trying to keep a closed guard but OakRivers is proving a slippery customer.

OakRivers stands and steps away. Head gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
No luck for OakRivers with that takedown attempt.
Stuart Head has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andor OakRivers.

OakRivers feints and as Head raises his hands in defense, OakRivers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
OakRivers wants to control from the top but Head keeps moving.
Head wants to hit a switch here but OakRivers passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Head there!

Head swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Head reaches up and holds on to OakRivers to control the position.
Head is trying desperately to improve position.
OakRivers tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Head is in all sorts of trouble here.
Head sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
OakRivers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Head's head.

OakRivers stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
OakRivers closes the distance but Head moves to the side

and Head counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Head.
Head is fighting to break OakRivers's control of his arms but OakRivers is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
OakRivers wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Andor OakRivers dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


OakRivers tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
OakRivers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Head sprawls well. Head wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. OakRivers gets slowly back to his feet.
Head feinted with a counter takedown.
OakRivers tries to clinch up

and Head counters with a single leg into guard. OakRivers didn't expect that.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Head trying to stand up but can't free himself from OakRivers's guard.
OakRivers looking for a sweep. Not yet OakRivers, not yet.

Head is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
OakRivers looking to control.
Head distracts OakRivers with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
OakRivers is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Head got a little sloppy there for a moment and OakRivers has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Head has managed to get both his arms back between OakRivers's legs - danger averted.
OakRivers seems keen to control Head's posture.
OakRivers is trying to control the position from the bottom.

OakRivers has a closed guard, preventing Head from standing up.

OakRivers has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Head is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

OakRivers looking to control.
Head throws a big right hand that misses.
Head prevents OakRivers from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Head makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

OakRivers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Head gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

OakRivers throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

OakRivers throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
OakRivers looking to hit a scissor sweep but Head is one step ahead there.
Head with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

OakRivers is looking for a triangle but Head pushes his legs off easily.
Head scoring with punches to the head and body.
Head is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
OakRivers pulls Head in close to his closed guard and prevents Head from doing any damage or advancing position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Head postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Andor OakRivers will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

Head is looking to sweep but instead, OakRivers has passed into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, OakRivers seems content to control.
Head is looking for a sweep. OakRivers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Head avoiding damage under a succession of punches from OakRivers.
Head has hold of OakRivers's hands but OakRivers slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Head is trying to control but can't.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
OakRivers works his way into full mount!
Head is squirming around, avoiding OakRivers's attempts to control the action.

OakRivers is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Head has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Head is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Andor OakRivers has got the better of the ground game so far.
OakRivers looking to control but Head is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Head is working to get back to half guard.
Head stops OakRivers from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Head is just holding on here. OakRivers manages to take his back.
Head is trying to stand back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

OakRivers has managed to slip his arm under Head's chin. This could be all over... yep, Head is tapping out! Submission win for OakRivers.
