And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Adams persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Adams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away.
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Adams.
And Jones tries to counter it with a takedown but Adams pushes his down on his head and steps out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erich Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jones tries to sprawl but Adams drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Jones manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Adams keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Jones tries to stall but Adams uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Adams jumps guard but Jones turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Jones pulls guard.
Adams wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.

Adams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Jones throws his legs up looking for a submission but Adams uses it to pass to side control.

Adams tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Adams has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Adams is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jones knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Adams is putting a hurting on Jones here, landing some big shots from side control.

Adams wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.

Adams is working to tighten his grip on Jones's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jones has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Adams is really squeezing tight and eventually Jones passes out! Adams breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
