The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush avoids the head kick by Mamado.
Rush went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Mamado scores with a takedown into Rush's guard.

Rush uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Mamado scores with a jab to the body.
Good work by Rush as he checks the leg kick.

Rush gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mamado lands with a left to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rush pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mamado pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rush is keeping the position for now.
Mamado looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mamado avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mamado seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Rush is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mamado must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rush is trying to keep Mamado in close.
Mamado controls from within his opponent's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mamado trying to control the position from guard on top but Rush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mamado throws a strike but Rush rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Mamado is wriggling around but Rush manages to pass to half guard.
Rush throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Mamado to regain full guard.
Rush engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Mamado has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rush off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Mamado sizes up Rush with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.


Rush is rocked!
Mamado knocks out Rush with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Mamado before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Mamado picks up the big W with a huge KO!
