PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lemuel Bonner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ajit Aravinda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aravinda has chosen Om Namai Shivai as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ajit Aravinda!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bonner feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Aravinda is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bonner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Aravinda on the ground.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Aravinda is looking to clinch but Bonner is avoiding it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Aravinda seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bonner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round but I would say that Lemuel Bonner will probably get the nod.

Lemuel Bonner is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lemuel Bonner.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bonner, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
