Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Deair Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butter Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Deair Shaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Butter Bean!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Bean. Those never looked like landing.
Shaw seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Bean scores with a jab to the jaw.
Bean stuffs the takedown.
Bean misses with a combination

and Shaw counters by clinching up.
Shaw leaning against his opponent.
Bean wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Shaw goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bean prevents it.
Shaw is stalling here.
Shaw is struggling to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bean wants to break the clinch but can't.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Shaw escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Bean has eaten all the pies!

Shaw has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bean uses from the top position.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Shaw manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Bean tries to work over Shaw's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shaw is on top in guard.

Shaw lands a couple of elbows.
Bean wants to stand but Shaw is controlling the position.
Bean is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Shaw works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shaw is working for a submission of some sort.
Bean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shaw. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Shaw is breathing heavily.

Shaw passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bean!
Bean tries to reverse the position but Shaw maintains control.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Deair Shaw dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bean is looking to chop away at Shaw's legs.

Shaw has closed the distance and engaged Bean in a clinch.
Bean is trying to break the clinch but Shaw has him pressed against the cage.

Shaw jumps guard and drags Bean to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Shaw lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Deair Shaw overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Shaw gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Bean misses with a few strikes there.
Bean misses with a double jab.
Bean slaps away a takedown attempt from Shaw, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bean misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bean will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Shaw moves into the clinch.

Bean is looking to control Shaw's arms but Shaw gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bean has his back to the cage.
Bean is breathing heavily.

Shaw has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bean uses from the top position.

Shaw stands up from Bean's guard - Shaw perhaps looking for a knockout.
Bean attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Deair Shaw is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bean fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bean will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bean tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Shaw forces Bean back against the cage and clinches.
Bean gets underhooks to prevent Shaw's takedown attempt.
A short body shot lands from Shaw as the two fighters clinch.

Shaw pulls guard effortlessly.
Shaw pulls Bean in close to his closed guard and prevents Bean from doing any damage or advancing position.
Shaw lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Shaw stays in close to Bean's body and controls the position.
Shaw with a nice head shot there.

Shaw engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Shaw working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bean's head.
Bean wants to get back to his feet but Shaw is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Shaw looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Shaw stands up and waves to Bean to follow him.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Shaw is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bean sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deair Shaw. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bean throws a one two combo.
Bean throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Shaw appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Bean scores with a crisp jab that stopped Shaw in his tracks.
Bean finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bean swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shaw is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Bean.
Bean misses with a two punch combination.
Bean throws a combination that misses
and Shaw counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Shaw closes the distance and clinches up with Bean, looking for a takedown. Shaw pushes Bean against the cage but Bean circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shaw slips a jab and a cross from Bean.
Bean tries to bum rush Shaw with a series of wild strikes but Shaw uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Deair Shaw will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Shaw closes the distance and pushes Bean back into the cage.
Bean tries to break the clinch but Shaw is controlling the position.
A frustrated look appears on Bean's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Shaw manages to pull guard.
Bean must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Shaw managing to control the position.
Shaw keeping moving, preventing Bean from controlling successfully.
Shaw will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Shaw has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Bean should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Shaw has tightened it up now! Bean should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
