The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz tries to move into range but Akiyama moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
It looks like Joey Diaz has been cut.
Diaz drops his hands for a split second and Akiyama immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Diaz face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Akiyama follows up with a right hand that knocks Diaz into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Akira Akiyama!
