Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Punch Bag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ralfie Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Punch Bag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ralfie Martin!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Bag counters by moving into the clinch.

Bag gets control of Martin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bag will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martin preventing the sweep.
Bag not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Bag isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Martin stacks Bag on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Martin!
Bag can't do much from the bottom here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bag tries to escape but Martin is in control.

Martin stands up and beckons Bag to his feet.
Martin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bag sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Martin goes for a double leg but Bag avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bag continues to drive forward.
Punch Bag has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralfie Martin.
Martin dives in for a single leg takedown but Bag sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Bag drives through with a takedown into Martin's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Bag trying to control the position from guard on top but Martin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bag drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bag jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Martin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Martin wants to get back to his feet but Bag passes into half guard.
Bag thows a huge punch but Martin dodges it nicely.

Bag has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Martin fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bag tries to counter with a takedown but Martin is quick to defend against it.
Nice takedown defense from Bag. No joy for Martin on that attempt.
No luck for Martin with that takedown attempt.

Bag throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Martin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bag is in Martin's guard.

Bag drops back looking for a leg! Martin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Martin manages to kick Bag off! Bag jumps back into Martin's guard.
Martin wants to get back to his feet but Bag is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Martin keeping moving, preventing Bag from controlling successfully.

Martin kicks Bag off and gets to his feet.
Martin dives in and grabs Bag's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bag pushes down on Martin's head and hops out.
Martin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bag sprawls well. Bag wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Martin gets slowly back to his feet.

Martin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bag was covering up waiting for the punch and Martin finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Martin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bag. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bag is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Bag is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bag wants to hit a switch here but Martin passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bag there!
Martin avoids the attempt from Bag to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Punch Bag dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Martin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bag defends it nicely.

Bag drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Punch Bag overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bag throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Martin is trying to get back to his feet.
Martin tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Bag working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Martin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bag sprawls well. Bag wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Martin gets slowly back to his feet.
Punch Bag has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralfie Martin.
Martin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bag swivels and escapes.
Martin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bag tries to avoid it but Martin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bag to the ground. Bag escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It looked like Bag was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Martin.
Punch Bag is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Martin shoots for a double leg takedown but Bag sprawls well. He's pushed Martin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bag will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Bag defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Martin.
Martin is breathing heavily.

Martin tries to keep at a distance but Bag has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bag is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Martin changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bag fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Ralfie Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bag gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Martin.

Bag pulls Martin into guard.
Bag controls Martin momentarily but Martin frees himself.

Martin stands up and waves to Bag to follow him.

Bag fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Martin to the ground. Bag is now in Martin's guard.
Martin is wriggling around but Bag manages to pass to half guard.
Bag prevents Martin from standing back up.
Bag is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Martin!

Martin is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Bag lands a heavy elbow.
Martin is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Bag with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bag is working for a guillotine from mount but Martin frees his head quite easily.
Martin is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Punch Bag dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Martin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bag sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Martin somewhat.

Bag drives through with a takedown into Martin's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Bag wants to control from the top but Martin keeps moving.

Martin wriggles free and stands up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bag stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bag wants it to stay on the feet.

Bag shoots in and bounces Martin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Martin wriggles free and stands up.
Martin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bag as he jumps to the side.
Bag slaps away a takedown attempt from Martin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Martin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Horrible takedown attempt by Martin or perhaps it was just good defense by Bag, which made it look bad.
Martin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bag moves into range and clinches up with Martin.

Bag pulls guard successfully.

Martin prevents Bag from getting back to his feet.

Martin gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Martin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bag swivels and escapes.
Bag seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bag drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Martin manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Martin wants a takedown but no success here.

Bag drags the fight down to the ground.
Bag trying to control the position.

Bag is working an open guard so Martin takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Martin.
Martin has a takedown stuffed.

Bag looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Martin!
Bag is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Martin can do to turn this around?
The ground and pound from Bag seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Martin is not content to let Bag control the position.
Martin is pushing Bag's head away, looking to escape. Bag manages to hold on to the position though.

Martin throws Bag to one side and escapes!
Ralfie Martin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Punch Bag is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Punch Bag.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bag, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
