Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Nascimento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson has chosen The Movement as his entrance music. Patrick Peterson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Patrick Peterson!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson closes the distance but Nascimento moves to the side
and Nascimento counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Peterson thinking.

Nascimento gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Peterson is trying to push Nascimento away but Nascimento has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nascimento lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

It looks like Patrick Peterson has been cut.
Nascimento has Peterson pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Peterson is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Nascimento - that's hurt Peterson badly! Oh, another knee lands and Peterson is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Peterson doesn't seem to be complaining.
