The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gushiken takes a swing at Garner's ribcage but misses.
As Gushiken looks to move away, Garner throws a big counter combo bu Gushiken just gets out of the way.
Gushiken swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Garner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Garner fails to pull guard.
Garner wants to take the fight to the mat but Gushiken manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Garner has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Gushiken regains guard immediately.
Gushiken is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gushiken bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Garner's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Garner might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Gushiken stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Gushiken misses with a double jab.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gushiken has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Garner is defending well but eventually Gushiken manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Garner has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
