Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Shannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Jinx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Jinx has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with David Shannon's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shannon tries a head kick but it misses.
Jinx takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Jinx takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Shannon displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jinx.
Shannon moves in looking to clinch but Jinx pushes him off.
Jinx should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Shannon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jinx has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shannon has managed to get both his arms back between Jinx's legs - danger averted.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Jinx fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shannon, pushing him back against the cage.

Shannon is breathing heavily.
Jinx is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shannon pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Jinx bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Shannon's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that David Shannon will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Shannon throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jinx with the counter takedown but Shannon avoids it easily.
Jinx throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shannon's waist but Shannon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jinx off to one side.

Jinx drops back looking for a leg! Shannon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Shannon manages to kick Jinx off! Jinx jumps back into Shannon's guard.

David Shannon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Jinx thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Shannon, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
