The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hodges throws a head kick but Biernat moves out of range.

Hodges gets tackled into the cage by Biernat. Biernat maintains the clinch.
Hodges jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Biernat walks away with a smile on his face. Hodges gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Biernat defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hodges.
A head kick misses from Hodges.
Biernat lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like Modesto Hodges has been cut.

Biernat closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hodges quickly recovers to half guard.

Hodges tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Biernat has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
