Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danjie Mercado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiran Corkhill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mercado comes into the arena with Pagsubok blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mercado fails with a takedown attempt.
Mercado changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Corkhill looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Corkhill manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Corkhill looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mercado is looking for a sweep. Corkhill is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Corkhill is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mercado defends it well.

Corkhill is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mercado moves into full guard.
Corkhill content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Mercado has locked up a guillotine! Mercado's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Corkhill is holding on here and Mercado must be using up a lot of energy. Corkhill has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Mercado gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
