Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Eye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and VJ Lamban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). VJ Lamban is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eye wants to hold on but Lamban pushes him away.
Lamban is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Eye is in real trouble.
Lamban is trying to stick to Eye's back but Eye is turning into Lamban. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lamban's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Eye.

Lamban has his foot on Eye's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Eye works his way back into a safe position though.

Lamban misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lamban dives in for a single leg takedown but Eye sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lamban shoots in for a takedown but Eye shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Daniel Eye has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of VJ Lamban.

Lamban closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Eye's guard.

Eye pushes a forearm under Lamban's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Lamban is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
