Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wayne Webb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wayne Webb is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josh James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wayne Webb!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

James closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Webb has James pressed against the cage, preventing James from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

James's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
James tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Webb was well out of range. Poor timing from James.
Horrible takedown attempt by James or perhaps it was just good defense by Webb, which made it look bad.
James will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No joy there for James, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
James misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Josh James has been cut.

James is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Webb got a little sloppy there for a moment and James has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Webb has managed to get both his arms back between James's legs - danger averted.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Josh James will probably get the nod.

That's time! James's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Webb jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as James walks away with a smile on his face. Webb gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
James shoots in looking for a takedown but Webb manages to keep the fight standing, pushing James's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Webb escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

It looked like James wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Webb fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Webb throws the kick towards the body but James avoids it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
James dives in for a single leg takedown but Webb sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
James leaves Webb with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
Wayne Webb comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think James has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
