Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Jr Dobzinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Searlas Saucier!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saucier closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dobzinski quickly recovers to half guard.

Dobzinski makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Saucier throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dobzinski.
Saucier should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Dobzinski takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Searlas Saucier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saucier misses with a looping left.
Dobzinski tries to counter with a takedown but Saucier is quick to defend against it.

Saucier closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Dobzinski is staying active underneath Saucier, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Dobzinski wants to stand back up but Saucier manages to pass into side control.
Dobzinski knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Saucier on the ground.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Saucier bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dobzinski tries to buck Saucier off but Saucier is having none of it.

Saucier tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Saucier has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dobzinski regains half guard.

Saucier is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Dobzinski has managed to free his arm - good work.
Dobzinski trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Saucier prevents Dobzinski from getting the reversal.
Saucier misses with a head shot.
Dobzinski wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Saucier.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Saucier is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dobzinski is defending well though. Saucier let's go of the attempt for now.

Saucier is trying to stick to Dobzinski's back but Dobzinski is turning into Saucier. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Saucier's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Dobzinski.

Saucier manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dobzinski manages to get himself to full guard.

Searlas Saucier showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Dobzinski is trying to keep Saucier in close.

We've been informed that Saucier has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Saucier shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dobzinski manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Saucier is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dobzinski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Saucier.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Searlas Saucier comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Saucier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
