PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sergai Katanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yahweh Falwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Falwell has chosen Don't Stop Believing as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Yahweh Falwell told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Katanov clinches with his opponent.
Falwell looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Katanov wants the takedown. Falwell is fighting it off but Katanov persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Falwell's guard against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Falwell isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Katanov stacks Falwell on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Katanov!
Katanov is putting a hurting on Falwell here, landing some big shots from side control.

In defeat, Yahweh Falwell stepped up to the mic, saying 'Hasa diga eebowai. I guess I didn't pray hard enough, or maybe prayed too much. I bet if I rolled more instead of praying, I might have learned to defend submissions. I guess it's God's will. But to quote George Carlin: "If it's God's will and he's going to do what he wants to anyway, why'.
