Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiranuka Stakanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hiranuka Stakanu is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 26 - 2, fighting out of New York, Hiranuka Stakanu!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe dives in for a single leg takedown but Stakanu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A nice leg kick lands there from Doe.
Stakanu shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Doe but Doe pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A little feinted left hand from Doe on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Doe gets the takedown into side control.
Stakanu is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Stakanu takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Stakanu tries to buck Doe off but Doe is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stakanu is not content to let Doe control the position.
Stakanu is looking for a sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stakanu keeps trying to improve his position.
Doe landing strikes.
Stakanu gets back to half guard.
Doe seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Stakanu on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Doe trying to control from half guard but Stakanu is working away.
Stakanu slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Doe postures up and lands a big shot to Stakanu's brow.

Doe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stakanu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Doe has managed to get both his arms back between Stakanu's legs - danger averted.

Stakanu is looking for a triangle here but Doe uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Stakanu sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Stakanu is staying active underneath Doe, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Stakanu wants to get back to full guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Doe connects with a nice short shot to Stakanu's temple.

Doe wants to pass the guard but Stakanu is keeping the position.

Stakanu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Doe working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Stakanu's head.
Doe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stakanu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Stakanu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Doe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Doe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Doe stands and throws Stakanu's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Stakanu tries to buck Doe off but Doe is having none of it.
Stakanu takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Doe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stakanu keeps working.
Doe happy to just control the position for now.

Doe wants to take a breather but Stakanu is having none of it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Doe fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stakanu sprawls well initially but Doe persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Stakanu is looking for a sweep. Doe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Stakanu is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Doe scores with a couple of nice shots.

Doe wants to finish this one by submission but Stakanu is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Doe.

Stakanu is squirming around, avoiding Doe's attempts to control the action.

BOOM! Doe connects with a massive shot to the dome!


Stakanu is rocked!
Doe lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Stakanu is still in real trouble! Can Doe finish him?
Stakanu regains half guard.
Stakanu is looking for a sweep. Doe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Stakanu seems to have recovered his senses.
Doe wants to pass to mount but Stakanu is defending the position.
Doe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stakanu with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Doe moves into full mount! Stakanu won't be happy about that!

Doe is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stakanu is surviving well by controlling Doe's body position as best he can.
Stakanu is in all sorts of trouble here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Doe cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Doe unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Stakanu wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Doe celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Doe!
John Doe looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Holy shit, 2 fights in a row with a game-plan and 2 wins.. Guess this is what I'm best at..'.
