Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damian Kmiec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Jinx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jinx goes for a double leg but Kmiec avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kmiec continues to drive forward.
Kmiec is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jinx.

Kmiec fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jinx, pushing him back against the cage.
Kmiec lands with a light punch inside.

Kmiec has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Jinx regains guard immediately.
Jinx is looking to stand back up but Kmiec counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Jinx.
Jinx should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Kmiec seems to be looking for submissions.

Kmiec will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kmiec is taking a breather. Jinx says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jinx is looking for a sweep. Kmiec is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Jinx is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kmiec scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kmiec is looking for a kimura but Jinx is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kmiec to get the leverage.
Kmiec tries to pass to full mount but Jinx defends it.

Kmiec lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Kmiec has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kmiec is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Jinx really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kmiec. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kmiec's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jinx is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Kmiec has latched onto it... Big trouble! Kmiec pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Jinx is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Kmiec!
