Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommie Sudweeks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vun Diesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vun Diesel will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sudweeks fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Diesel to the ground. Sudweeks is now in Diesel's guard.
Diesel has his foot on Sudweeks's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sudweeks works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diesel is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sudweeks is aware though and is defending well.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Diesel pushes Sudweeks off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Diesel keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sudweeks's efforts to push away.

Diesel jumps guard and drags Sudweeks to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Diesel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sudweeks tries to avoid it but Diesel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sudweeks to the ground. Sudweeks escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sudweeks closes the distance and clinches up with Diesel, looking for a takedown. Sudweeks pushes Diesel against the cage but Diesel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sudweeks postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Diesel is looking for a triangle but Sudweeks pushes his legs off easily.

Sudweeks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Diesel was covering up waiting for the punch and Sudweeks finishes the takedown easily into guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Diesel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Sudweeks counters with a three punch combo that has Diesel backing up. Diesel nods at Sudweeks to acknowledge the strikes.
