The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Balajadia fails with the takedown

and Henry counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Henry.
Henry is standing up over Balajadia. Balajadia looks to escape but Henry dives into side control.

Henry controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Balajadia trying his best to control but Henry has mounted him.
Balajadia is trying desperately to improve position.
Henry controlling the position easily from mount.
Henry has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Balajadia can't escape the position.
Henry takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Henry's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Henry lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Henry working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Balajadia turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Henry off and cradles Balajadia's limp body as Henry celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Carroll Henry!
