Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Tibayan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conner Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tibayan scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Horrible takedown attempt by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Tibayan, which made it look bad.
Tibayan lands a jab.

Jones manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tibayan on his heels. He'll look to pass Tibayan's guard now, I'm sure.
Jones stays in close to Tibayan's body and controls the position.
Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jones thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Jones slows the pace down in half guard.
Tibayan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jones.

Jones seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Jones decides to return to a standing position.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jones. That's going to slow Tibayan down.
Jones motions for Tibayan to come forward. Jones throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Jones is in close to Tibayan's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Jones keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tibayan's head.
Jones is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Tibayan is rocked!
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jones drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jones as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Tibayan screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jones! Nice submission victory there!
