The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cahan lands with a slapping head kick.
Cahan moves out of range of the leg kick from Garcia .
Cahan misses with a wild combination.
Garcia connects with a body shot.
Garcia throws a sloppy head kick and Cahan moves out of range easily.
Cahan tries a head kick but it misses.
Cahan throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Garcia 's head.

and Cahan takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Cahan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Garcia sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

and Garcia counters with a series of strikes. Cahan will be more careful next time no doubt.

Garcia shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Garcia showed some decent athleticism there.

Garcia bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

What can Cahan do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Cahan is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Garcia .
