Erwin is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erwin checks a low kick from Parayan.
Erwin is breathing heavily.
Parayan misses with a body shot.
Parayan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Erwin.
And Erwin counters with a quick kick to the body but Parayan blocks it.
Jiroy Parayan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parayan connects with a right hand. Erwin shakes it off.

It looks like Hale Erwin has been cut.
Parayan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Erwin.
Parayan is looking to clinch.
Erwin blocks a low kick nicely.

Parayan darts in and clinches Erwin up against the cage.
Parayan blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Erwin struggles to land a body shot inside as Parayan controls his hands.
Parayan wants to break free but Erwin has control.

Parayan manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Erwin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Parayan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Parayan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Erwin momentarily.
Erwin throws a body punch but Parayan moves out of range.
Parayan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Erwin defends it well.
Erwin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Parayan misses with a wild combination.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Erwin checks a leg kick nicely.
Parayan misses with a kick to the body.
Parayan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Parayan lands a nice hook to Erwin's body. Erwin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Parayan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Erwin eats them both and turns towards Parayan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Parayan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Erwin takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Parayan lands with a big right hook that stumbles Erwin - he's out on his feet here! Parayan follows up with another monster hook that separates Erwin from consciousness! Erwin falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Parayan stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
