Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hans Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Weston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Weston closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kirby sneaks out the side door and pushes Weston away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Kirby is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Weston is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kirby looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Weston with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That was a close round but I would say that Hans Kirby will probably get the nod.

Kirby really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Weston can do anything to dispel that myth.
