Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Lins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phillip Pip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pedro Lins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phillip Pip!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lins on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Pip throws a half hearted mid kick.
Lins throws a leg kick
and Pip connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lins takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Lins clinches.
Lins swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Lins throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Pip blocks a body shot from Lins.
Pip wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lins has him pressed against the cage.
Pip working aggressively here.
Pip blocking some punches.
Lins tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pip's elbow.
A right hand to the body from Lins.
Lins misses with a body punch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Lins.

Lins ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lins no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lins trying to keep a closed guard but Pip is proving a slippery customer.

Lins wants to improve his position but instead Pip has moved into half guard.
Lins tries to roll over but Pip keeps him under control.
Lins is working hard here to advance position.

Lins looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Pip pushes past his half guard into mount!
Pip looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Lins really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Pip sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Lins tries to lock up and control but Pip gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lins is working to get back to half guard.
Lins wants to hold on but Pip pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lins is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Pip controlling from the full mount.
Lins really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Lins is in a horrible position here. Pip smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Lins slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Pip not doing much here.
Lins is trying to maintain the position but Pip is very close to passing his half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Lins moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Phillip Pip will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Pip misses with a wild body shot.
Lins misses with a body kick.
Lins tries to clinch there but Pip circles away.
Lins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pip lands with a good body shot.
Lins takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Phillip Pip seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pip lands a slapping body shot.
Pip lands with a right hand.
Lins wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pip scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Pip looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pip lands with a cross.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pip lands a nice shot to the body.
Pip throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Pip lands a jab to the head.
Pip rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pip lands a jab to the head.
Lins wants to clinch
and Pip counters with a big right hand! Oh Lins is in trouble here! Pip follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Phillip Pip!
