Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Johnston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chang Mi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chang Mi!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnston misses with a looping left.

Mi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Johnston!
Johnston struggling a bit here.
Mi trying to control the action but Johnston is working from the bottom.
Mi advances nicely into full mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Johnston is wriggling around trying to escape.
Mi looking to control but Johnston is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Johnston prevents any damage by holding on tight.

Mi might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Johnston haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Mi moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Johnston has worked his arm free - good work by Johnston!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Johnston wants to control but Mi postures up.

Mi tries for a kimura but Johnston is defending well.
Mi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnston keeps working.

Mi wants to control but Johnston is keeping him busy.

Mi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Johnston rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mi's guard! Nice work there by Johnston!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnston drives through with a takedown into guard.

Johnston works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Johnston is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mi defends it well.
Mi is trying to get back to full guard.
Mi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mi can do anything to dispel that myth.
Johnston prevents Mi from getting back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Mi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Johnston napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnston closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mi's guard.

Mi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Johnston avoids it really well and circles away.

Mi has Johnston up against the cage in a clinch.
Johnston throws a punch but it's blocked by Mi.

A right hook to the body lands for Mi.

Mi is trying to trip Johnston. He has hold of a leg but Johnston is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mi persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chang Mi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Mi looks for a takedown but Johnston sprawls well.

Johnston closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Johnston misses with a head shot. Mi uses the momentum to regain guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Mi tries to clinch but Johnston moves out of range.

Mi gets caught napping as Johnston dives in and scores a takedown. Mi manages to retain guard.
Mi pulls Johnston in close to prevent any damage.

Jordan Johnston has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Johnston stands up over Mi, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Johnston's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Johnston is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Johnston is in close to Mi's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Johnston is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Mi throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Mi wants to get back to his feet but Johnston is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
