The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Atomico's guard.

Johnson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Atomico is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Johnson holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Atomico is taking a breather. Johnson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Johnson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Johnson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Atomico is working away from the top position though.
Atomico perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Atomico misses with a head shot. Johnson uses the momentum to regain guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Johnson is controlling Atomico's posture.

Johnson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Atomico doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Atomico manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Johnson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Atomico controls the pace.
Johnson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Atomico has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Johnson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Atomico gets control of Johnson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Atomico will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Atomico closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Atomico thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Atomico is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johnson can do to turn this around?

Atomico goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Johnson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Atomico but great work by Johnson.

Atomico tries to improve position but can't.
Johnson looks up at the clock and then as Atomico takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Johnson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Johnson is working to tighten his grip on Atomico's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Atomico has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Johnson is really squeezing tight and eventually Atomico passes out! Johnson breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
