Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Mills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aecio Neves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neves is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Aécio Neves Jingle. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dylan Mills!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aecio Neves!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Neves is defended easily by Mills.
Mills walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Neves checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mills shoots in but no luck this time.
Neves drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Mills defends it well.
Neves fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mills manages to avoid it.
Mills seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Neves thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mills looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Neves rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mills moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
We've been informed that Neves has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Mills shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Neves as he jumps to the side.
Some bone on bone action there as Neves checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mills lands with a nice body punch.
Neves fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dylan Mills seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Neves looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mills is fending him off so far but Neves persists. Nope, Mills circles away and we're back to standing.
Mills works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Mills changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Neves looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neves is not content to let Mills control the position.
Mills slows the pace down in half guard.
Mills prevents Neves from improving his position.
Neves is trying to control but can't.
Neves makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Neves.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neves looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Mills trying to control the position from guard on top but Neves is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neves not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neves had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mills defends it easily.

Neves has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mills can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mills doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mills manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mills looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Neves is fending him off so far but Mills persists. Nope, Neves circles away and we're back to standing.

Mills cracks Neves with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Mills slips a straight right by Neves.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Mills has his hands on Neves's head, controlling the position.
Neves looking to sit in guard and control but Mills gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Dylan Mills overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mills drops back, looking for a kneebar! Neves looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Neves looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Neves!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Neves works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Mills keeping moving, preventing Neves from controlling successfully.

Neves throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mills works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Neves trying to control the position from guard on top but Mills is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mills has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Neves has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dylan Mills will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Mills ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Mills thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Neves if he has to take too many more of those.

Neves tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mills defends well and Neves ends up having to push Mills into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Mills changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Neves tries to avoid it but Mills manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Neves to the ground. Neves escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Mills breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A big right from Neves misses.
A punch lands to the side of Neves 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mills is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Neves can do to turn this around?

Dylan Mills is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Neves has his foot on Mills's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mills works his way back into a safe position though.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Well Mills has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
