Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bo Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Medza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Medza keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hicks gets a clinch.
Hicks has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Medza after a bit of a struggle.
Hicks throws a knee to the head but misses.
Medza has Hicks pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Medza pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Hicks tumbling to the mat - Medza dives into Hicks's guard.
Hicks preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Medza chips away with some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Medza throws a big elbow that misses.
Medza scoring with punches to the head and body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Medza with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hicks is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Medza loads up on a big left hand. Hicks felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Medza looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Hicks can't hide his disappointment, as Medza celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Medza!
