And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ian Rogers!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Polo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rogers's calf.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Polo.
Rogers lands a jab-cross combination.

Rogers closes the distance and pushes Polo back into the cage.

Rogers tightens his grip and picks Polo up, before dumping him to the ground. Polo manages to land in guard.
Rogers controls from within his opponent's guard.
Rogers's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Polo is looking for a triangle but Rogers pushes his legs off easily.
Rogers is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Polo has his foot on Rogers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rogers works his way back into a safe position though.

We've been hearing good reports from Polo's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Polo is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Rogers rolls with it to try and escape but Polo cranks on the arm and Rogers is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
