Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Beltshazar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Colston!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beltshazar throws a combination that misses

so Colston counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Colston postures up in Beltshazar's guard and throws a big left but Beltshazar blocks it.
Colston missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Colston wants to control from the top but Beltshazar keeps moving.
Colston connects with a couple of short punches.
Colston postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Colston accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Beltshazar is on top in guard.

Colston is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Colston is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Beltshazar is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Colston is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Colston has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Colston is looking to work some ground and pound but Beltshazar has wrist control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Colston counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Colston.
Beltshazar wants to get back to his feet but Colston passes into half guard.

and Colston counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Beltshazar!

Colston has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Colston postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Colston is in close to Beltshazar's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Beltshazar is rocked!
Beltshazar takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Oh Beltshazar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Colston lands a strong strike to the head of Beltshazar. That's dazed him! Colston looking to finish here. Beltshazar is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Colston lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Colston!
A victorious Mike Colston thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
The defeated Ryan Beltshazar had this to say: 'Im incredible...but everyone has a bad day sometimes...'.
