Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bryce Daniel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Victor Cradle!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cradle misses with a kick to the body.
Daniel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Victor Cradle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cradle throws a sloppy head kick and Daniel moves out of range easily.
As Cradle tries to get set, Daniel tries to push him back and clinch up but Cradle manages to avoid the attempt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cradle.
Daniel attempts a counter takedown but Cradle avoids it well and moves away.
Daniel shoots in for a takedown but Cradle shows good takedown defense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cradle shoots in but no luck this time.
Bryce Daniel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Cradle.

and Daniel counters by moving into the clinch.

Cradle is trying to trip Daniel. He has hold of a leg but Daniel is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cradle persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cradle looking to improve position, pressing down on Daniel's thigh with his hand. Daniel seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Cradle paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Cradle's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Daniel picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
