The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy wants to clinch up but Grace keeps it at a distance.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Grace.

Grace is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kennedy has escaped the position, nice work there.
Grace controls the position.
Kennedy is not content to let Grace control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grace throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Grace is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Grace tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Kennedy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Grace works to advance to full mount. Kennedy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Grace avoids the attempt from Kennedy to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grace looking to control but Kennedy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kennedy really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kennedy is trying to reverse the position but instead Grace has taken his back - oops!
Even with his hooks in, Grace manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Grace controlling the position well here. Kennedy rolled but Grace kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Kennedy won't enjoy being in this position. Grace looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Kennedy is tapping - it's over boys! Grace picks up the submission victory!
