The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Bates.
Bartowski looks to land a left hand but Bates moved out of range nicely.
Bartowski connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Bates rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bartowski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bates uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bartowski.
Bartowski tries to bum rush Bates with a series of wild strikes but Bates uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bates dives in for a single leg takedown but Bartowski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Bartowski takes a swing at Bates's ribcage but misses.
Bates bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bartowski's head.
Bartowski shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bates eats them both and turns towards Bartowski to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Bates scores with a jab. Bartowski acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Bates connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bartowski momentarily.
Bartowski uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bates has time to react.
Bartowski doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

and Bartowski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bartowski lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Bartowski throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bartowski drops his hands momentarily and Bates takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Bartowski throws a right hand that Bates ducks under and follows up with a left that Bates also avoids with ease.
Bates on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Oleg Bartowski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bartowski takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bates moves into the clinch.
Bates tries to work over Bartowski's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Bates pulls Bartowski into guard.
Bartowski postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Bartowski is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Bates has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Bartowski is looking to defend but Bates has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Bartowski! Bates pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Bartowski taps out and this one is all over!
