Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Koni Minichi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Raynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koni Minichi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minichi misses with a head kick.
Raynolds fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Raynolds darts in looking for a takedown but Minichi gets double underhooks and turns Raynolds into the cage.
Minichi feints a jab promting Raynolds to slip. Minichi then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Raynolds slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Minichi could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Raynolds shoots in but no luck this time.
Koni Minichi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamie Raynolds.
Raynolds tries for a takedown but Minichi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Minichi moves in looking to clinch but Raynolds pushes him off.
Minichi scores with a nice body kick.
Minichi darts in looking for a takedown but Raynolds gets double underhooks and turns Minichi into the cage.

Raynolds shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Raynolds was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
