Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Red Shady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack the Ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack the Ripper will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Red Shady! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack the Ripper! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! the Ripper throws a head kick that Shady semi-blocks.
the Ripper tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. the Ripper fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shady sprawls well initially but the Ripper persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Shady missing with punches from the bottom.
Shady trying to control but the Ripper postures up.
Shady tries to roll over but the Ripper keeps him under control. the Ripper misses with a head shot. Shady uses the momentum to regain guard. Shady is trying to hold the Ripper in close to prevent damage but the Ripper has managed to pass into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shady is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. the Ripper bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Shady is looking to regain half guard here but the Ripper keeps moving and retains side control. Shady is working hard here to advance position. Shady trying to control but the Ripper flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! the Ripper doesn't have the hooks in and Shady manages to turn into his guard.
the Ripper wants to stand but Shady is controlling the position. Shady throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as the Ripper works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Shady thows a big elbow that misses. the Ripper utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. the Ripper works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shady has his takedown stuffed so the Ripper counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Shady is breathing heavily. the Ripper trying to control but Shady is working from the bottom. the Ripper is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. the Ripper trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. the Ripper trying to control the position from guard on top but Shady is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shady throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. the Ripper is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. the Ripper looking to sit in guard and control but Shady gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. the Ripper utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shady with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Shady might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Shady not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Shady tries to free his leg and advance position but the Ripper is retaining full guard. Shady drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shady jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. the Ripper wants to sweep here but Shady controlling him for the moment. the Ripper has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shady can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shady drops back looking for a leg! the Ripper is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and the Ripper manages to kick Shady off! Shady jumps back into the Ripper's guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Shady misses with a takedown and the Ripper counters with a takedown into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shady tries to get back to half guard but can't. Shady can't do much from the bottom here. Sloppy strikes there by the Ripper. You can see the frustration on Shady's face as the Ripper controls the position. Shady looking for a sweep but the Ripper has passed into full mount! Oh no! the Ripper working Shady over with strikes here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shady is squirming around, avoiding the Ripper's attempts to control the action. Shady working to try and regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack the Ripper dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Shady with a lazy takedown attempt and the Ripper counters with a nice body shot. the Ripper turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. the Ripper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
the Ripper swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
the Ripper closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. the Ripper is trying to trip Shady. He has hold of a leg but Shady is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. the Ripper persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Shady tries to land a sweep but no joy. Shady manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Shady has hold of the Ripper's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and the Ripper manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
the Ripper is trying desperately to improve position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shady avoids the attempt from the Ripper to control. the Ripper keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Shady tries to control but the Ripper wriggling away. Shady has control of the Ripper's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and the Ripper regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Shady is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but the Ripper is surviving well by controlling Shady's body position as best he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shady prevents the Ripper from getting the reversal. Shady throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
the Ripper is wriggling around trying to escape.
Shady punching from mount but the Ripper doing a good job of avoiding damage. the Ripper can't escape the position.
the Ripper is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shady misses with a head shot. Shady fails to advance to the Ripper's back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. the Ripper can't escape the position.
Shady trying to control but the Ripper is having none of it. Shady takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Shady goes for an armbar but the Ripper turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from the Ripper. Shady keeping moving, preventing the Ripper from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. the Ripper working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. the Ripper throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. the Ripper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shady swivels though and keeps the full guard. the Ripper postures up.
the Ripper really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shady. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. the Ripper trying to control the position from guard on top but Shady is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shady looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shady is on top in guard.

Jack the Ripper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Shady is looking to take a break and control but the Ripper is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. the Ripper manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. the Ripper is trying to control the position but Shady postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shady is working the Ripper over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. the Ripper preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Shady thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. the Ripper manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
the Ripper is going olschool here, as he tries to force Shady to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Shady shrugs it off. Shady keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. the Ripper wants to control the pace but Shady is squirming around nicely. the Ripper with good strikes from the mount here! the Ripper pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. the Ripper blocks Shady's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Shady wants to control but the Ripper is having none of it. the Ripper can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Shady is looking to escape. Shady is looking to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shady holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as the Ripper tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

the Ripper unloading with bombs! the Ripper misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Shady tries to get back to half guard but can't. the Ripper thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Shady sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. the Ripper is looking to advance position but Shady won't allow it. the Ripper stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Shady throws a leg kick and the Ripper holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Shady tries to pull guard but the Ripper holds him up against the cage and eventually Shady drops back down to his feet.
the Ripper breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shady tries for a takedown but the Ripper circles away easily and the Ripper counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Shady! Red Shady has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jack the Ripper is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. the Ripper connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack the Ripper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well the Ripper has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
