The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roberts.
Murphy shoots in but Roberts avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Roberts shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Murphy pinned against the cage. Murphy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Murphy shoots in for a double leg but Roberts sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Murphy throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Murphy has Roberts up against the cage in a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Murphy has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Roberts after a bit of a struggle.

Roberts darts in looking for a takedown but Murphy gets double underhooks and turns Roberts into the cage.

Murphy moves into the clinch.
Roberts drops down looking for an ankle pick but Murphy pulls his leg out and moves away.
Murphy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Murphy closes the distance and pushes Roberts back into the cage.

Murphy throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Murphy breaks the clinch.
Roberts takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Matt Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murphy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Roberts sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Murphy somewhat.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Murphy.

Roberts gets caught napping as Murphy dives in and scores a takedown. Roberts manages to retain guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Roberts working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Murphy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Roberts is tightening it up a little... Murphy has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Murphy reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Murphy taps out! Nice BJJ there by Roberts!
